Miss Liberia California 2006, Miss Patience Alice Dunbar, crowns Miss Liberia California 2007, Mardia Burke at the sold-out Miss
Miss Mardia Burke of Southern California captured the crown at the glittering gala dinner for approximately 400 guests in Oakland , California . Miss Lorpu Davies of Antioch was the 1st Runner-Up and Miss Gustee Wolo of Sacramento was the 2nd Runner-Up.
Miss Liberia California 2007, Mardia Burke is an 18 year old, senior student at Chatsworth High School in Southern California . She performed beautifully throughout the event. The highlight of the show was her amazing performance of Liberia ’s National Anthem in American Sign Language.
Miss Liberian California 2006, Patience Dunbar delivered an emotional and heart-felt farewell speech to the audience.
Performing that night were the Jubilee Singers of Bay Area, Da Immigrantz of Sacramento , CA , California State University Sacramento (African Student Association) Oakland ’s Own, Diesel the Don and the Up & Coming Liberian Entertainment Icon, JODI of Miami, Florida who brought the house down with his soulful melodies.
